Two great Lip Scrubs DIY

October 19, 2018

Someone asked me why I don't sell Lip Scrubs anymore. The answer is easy. They are really too easy for an individual person to make at home!  Both of these lip scrubs take less than 10 minutes to make in the comfort of your own home. I can't see you paying $18 to $26 dollars when you can make simple ones at home. Shame on you Anthropologie and Nordstrom. We ladies need a break. So without further ado, here are two great lip scrubs to make.  These ingredients are right in your pantry or can be easily obtained at your next trip to the market. Enjoy!

Brown Sugar & Honey Scrub:

1 Tbsp brown sugar

1 squirt of raw honey

1 drop of vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients in a glass jar. Can be stored for up to one month in the fridge. To exfoliate, rub gently on to lips 1-2 times per week. Rinse when done and apply your favorite lip balm.

Mint Lip Scrub:

1/4 cup Sugar

1 Teaspoon Raw Honey

1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

1 Drop Peppermint Extract

Mix ingredients in a bowl until a paste forms. Store in a glass jar in the fridge. Hold a warm cloth over lips for 3 minutes to prepare and soften.Apply scrub and let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse and apply lip balm to moisturize.

Both of these are natural & preservative free, so it would be best to keep in the fridge so no bacteria can thrive. Any time you introduce your finger to a product, it can introduce bacteria.

Enjoy!  xoxo Connie
